Mimi / 杨月潇 is currently studying in Providence, Rhode island, but they are dreaming their way back to Shanghai, where home always is.

They are a Best of the Net Nominee, and their poems appear or are forthcoming in Palette Poetry, The Margins, Booth Journal, Penn Review, and more, and have been recognized by the Alliance for Young Writers and Artists and the UK Poetry Society.

They are interested in exploring the unstable terrain between artistic mediums and are perpetually against genre, whatever that means. they like beaded jewelry, anti-imperialism, mincho typography, and industrial techno. They are currently interested in the inherent queerness of body horror, the southern song 山水 border study, and cannibalism as a literary indicator of social paranoia.
